A new autonomous payload system has landed on the E455. Through a new partnership with TB2 Aerospace, Event 38 has integrated DROPS into its heavy-lift VTOL platform, making complex missions easier than ever.
What DROPS Actually Does
DROPS is an autonomous payload system developed by TB2 Aerospace. Once mounted on the E455, it takes on tasks that would normally require a crew on the ground, handling payloads from launch to recovery without human intervention.
DROPS was also designed to be broadly compatible across unmanned platforms, not tied to a single airframe.
It’s built to fit basically any UAS out there.

Why the E455 Was the Right Fit
The E455 brought together exactly what DROPS needed: long endurance, VTOL operation so no runway is required, and a payload bay already built to swap in new gear. DROPS simply clicks right in.
