Drones for
Surveillance
From search and rescue to maritime security, fixed-wing drones equipped with EO/IR payloads deliver rapid situational awareness across terrain and open ocean alike.

In most SAR missions, the missing person is trapped in a life-threatening situation — sometimes for several hours before a rescue team is able to arrive on scene. Every minute matters. Drones can be deployed immediately and cover ground faster than any ground-based team.
SAR missions usually occur outside of urban environments. Challenging terrain — a snowy mountain, a dense rainforest — can prove impossible to navigate on foot. Drones are unaffected by these obstacles, traversing any landscape at altitude with full sensor coverage below.
Compared to ground-based vehicles, drones can traverse areas at a rapid pace and reach locations inaccessible by any other means. When equipped with onboard image processing, drones can automatically detect thermal or RGB signatures of humans and notify operators of their precise coordinates — saving critical time when it matters most.
One of the biggest challenges in combating maritime crime is finding and identifying ships in the vast expanses of open sea. Line of sight from sea level is limited, and it is expensive to sail ships continuously to monitor protected areas.
Even once a ship is spotted, getting close enough to identify it risks a potentially dangerous encounter for the crew involved.
How Can Drones Help? The ability to launch and recover an aerial vehicle from a ship vastly increases the area of ocean that can be searched by a team. Equipped with high-resolution gimbaled cameras, drones can identify and geo-locate objects in the ocean, pass coordinates to authorities, then track the target until authorities can respond.
When you invest in a drone, you're investing in a long-term monitoring tool.
When you invest in a drone, you're investing in a long-term monitoring tool. Fly as often as needed to gather the data required to keep your operations on track — whether that's a SAR deployment, fishery patrol, or border surveillance mission.
Made in the USA. Every Event 38 drone is designed and manufactured in Richfield, Ohio — fully compliant with NDAA 2020 Section 848. When you invest in an Event 38 platform, you're investing in American-made technology built to the standards of the U.S. Air Force and commercialized for operators worldwide.
