Event 38 partnered with the Ohio Federal Research Network, The Air Force Research Lab, Honeywell, Kent State University, and The University of Dayton to develop and demonstrate the propulsion of a fixed wing VTOL UAS by a Hydrogen fuel cell. The resulting aircraft demonstrated a 3.3x increase in flight time while flying almost silently at just 400′ AGL.
Event 38 was tasked with integrating a magnetometer payload onto both the E455. The open protocol payload bay made integration quick and easy.
Event 38 was selected to design and build an eVTOL for carrying a highly specialized quantum physics payload. This eVTOL can lift a 150lb payload and is impressive in size at 11′ by 11′ with an all up weight of 600lbs.
